# Sightline Guide

> Learn to record, review, and write up behavior observations.

This guide covers everyday tasks in Sightline. For a problem it doesn't solve, or a question about your district's setup, [contact support](https://docs.sightlinebehavior.com/contact-support.md).

## Start with training

Two short lessons, done in order. Both use the demo student in demo mode, so nothing you practice touches your own records.

> **[Lesson 1: Your first observation](https://docs.sightlinebehavior.com/your-first-observation.md)**
>
> Score four momentary time sampling moments for the demo student, then read the results.
>
> About 15 minutes · Any plan

> **[Lesson 2: From recording to write-up](https://docs.sightlinebehavior.com/from-recording-to-write-up.md)**
>
> Record a frequency observation from a script, read the Summary, and write one report sentence.
>
> About 20 minutes · Any plan
