Set up

Set up an observation and choose Frequency. Name and define the behavior, then set a length or choose No limit.

Count

Select the count beside the behavior each time it occurs, or press its key.

End and save

Select End and confirm. Add any final context, then save.

Where your data appears

In Results, the Summary card shows the rate per minute and the number of occurrences. Event Record → Timeline shows when each one happened. How the rate is calculated

Good to know

Decide what counts as one. When counting hand raises, decide whether the student must lower their hand before another raise counts. Write that into the behavior’s definition. Counting a peer. Turn on Peer comparison in setup only if you will watch the peer. To count the peer, hold ⌥ or Alt and press the behavior’s key. See Record a peer comparison. Made a mistake? Outside a text field, press ⌘Z or Ctrl+Z to undo the last count. Fix a mistake covers changes after saving.
